PS Portal Push Square

The PS5 handheld streaming device, PS Portal, continues to go from strength to strength, as it reaches its highest PS5 console attach rate in the USA to date.

Via new sales data from Circana, it's revealed at the end of 2025, 7% of PS5 console owners in the country also owned a PS Portal to go alongside it. This is a small but noteworthy increase on the last reported attach rate in October, when it was reported just over 5% of PS5 owners also had a PS Portal.

After a somewhat muted launch, the PS Portal handheld has only improved as time has gone on, with Sony updating it with new features as it reportedly prepares a proper successor for the PS6. The latest patch allowed PS Plus Premium members to stream any PS5 games in their library to the device, skipping the need to have them downloaded to their home console.

In our Hands On article covering the update, we said it has given the PS Portal "a new lease of life" and makes it "one of the PS5's best products". Now, in the USA at least, it's proving more popular than ever as a PS5 console accessory.
